Week 4 time~

Hello~, I am Hui Yuan. Nice to meef you all again.

In this week meeting with our Social Engagement (SE) teammates, I have presented about the revenue and expenses throughout this program. With the help from our coordinator, Dr Arpah, I have ammended the report better. Thanks for her kindly advice. For next week i will have to collect all the receipt to complete our program file and present about the latest  revenue and expenses. However, based on the expected amount, i found that our revenue is not enough for the expenses of the program. I hope that we can get enough sponsor or donation and even from the amount of sales, will enough to cover our programme's expenses. Talk about the sales, i am selling the cake also for this week. About seven boxes of cake is really hard to sell them. Until today, i still left two boxes since i have eaten aboit 3 boxes of them. This means that i just sell for 2 boxes. Therfore, I am considering not to sell the cake but find the donation from others.

This week, our SE teammates are doing donation drive around the area of TTDI and bangsar or pasar seni on friday. Unluckily, that day is the 15th day of our Chinese New Year. Early in the morning, I have to follow my mother visit the temple. However, i will also ask for donation whenever i have the time. We are also pass around the donation box around the class to ask for donation. We just hope that this can help us to cover some expenses and let this programme goes well. We just left about 3 weeks more to prepare for this programme and meet with those children. Everything we are doing now is just hope that they can enjoy this activities and have delicious food too.

That is all about my week. Thanks for viewing and don't miss our blog post for more interesting part.Bye~😊

Preparation Phase: WEEK 3 _ Venturing into the vast unknown …

[18 February 2018 – 24 February 2018]

‘Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.’ – Proverbs 27:17
‘For the body is not one member, but many.’ – I Corinthians 12:14

G’ day!

How are things during the Chinese New Year? Best wishes for the festive season to all of you, comrades. Hope it's been an enjoyable and refreshing holiday. Wish our break’s off to a great resumption.πŸ’›

This week’s meeting discussion encompassed mainly on the venue evaluation from the site visit conducted last week. Each bureau presented their updates on this matter. As promised in the last meeting by the sponsorship bureau, we resumed the cake sales this week. Two types of cakes at reasonable prices are to be sold, namely chocolate moist cake and red velvet cake. We hope that by doing so, we get enough fund for the programme which will ultimately be channelled to Pusat Jagaan NURI. As part of the sponsorship bureau, I know it's my responsibility to bear this burden promoting the cakes and for that, I always prayed to God for wisdom, strength, energy and determination. And as usual, I sold the cakes face-to-face. Thanks very much, all of our ‘customers’ who are willing to support us. πŸ’ My bureau members and I also discussed some other alternative to raise funds which will then be discussed in the next meeting.πŸ˜„

Several issues concerning accommodation and transportation had also been raised and we came to the decision of staying in the residential college in order to tighten our belt. We were also informed of the age range of the children in Pusat Jagaan Nuri. As there will be quite a number of changes to the tentative and other plans, we were also required to revise the marketing proposal again. Most importantly, we were relieved to have our official logo finalised and posted on social media, special thanks to Dr Arpah and the multimedia & technical bureau. It means a lot to us and to me, it serves as a reminder of our programme’s mission. We had also finalized the programme T-shirt design and colour. Overall, the meeting went quite well.πŸ˜†

Though this preparation phase is going to be a long haul, not to mention time-consuming, we as a team cooperate well to build each other up besides making our utmost endeavour for the programme’s goal to be achieved. Hallelujah! Thank God for all these things. Thinking of the contentment we would like to place in each child in Pusat Jagaan NURI drives away all our stresses and strains. Let’s don’t give up, mates!πŸ’ͺ

Week 3 : 3rd Meeting

3rd Meeting

"APA??TINGGAL SEBULAN LAGI!?"...Hai semua! Miss SU, Putri is back againπŸ‘€...cepat gila masa berlalu, sedar-tak sedar tinggal sebulan lagi program di rumah NURI akan berlangsung(the HORROR).Banyak yang berlaku sebenarnya minggu ini dan rasa it feels like a long week.

Aik, kenapa pulak? Well, bila lagi ada orang nak ajar aku buat minit dengan betul, lagipun inikan kali pertama aku menjadi setiausaha. Oleh itu, aku harus dapat sebanyak ilmu yang boleh aku perolehi because knowledge is power and that will help me be better equipped for the future, isn't it?

Jualan kek kembali lagi!!

Anyway, cantikkan design blog yang baru ni?😎Thank you biro multimedia!! It's so lively and cute, I'm Lovin it! Love you mamidaπŸ’›πŸ’œπŸ’š Rehana! You are such a versatile director! Dia dah jadi macam ahli setiap biro...semua gerak kerja dia involved. Sis tabik! Azwa & Azmil, korang memang dedicated designer, although you guys memang busy minggu ni but still boleh design macam-macam untuk projek ni and I'm so grateful for that. Kak dila, sis memang ketua sponsor TERBAIK!To all my SE teammates, you guys are awesomeπŸ’

WHAT I WANT TO THROW : MY WORRIES ABOUT THE PROJECT
WHAT I WANT TO KEEP : THE AMAZING TEAMWORKS AND OUR HARDSHIPS

My Third Week

Hi guys, I am LEE ZONG HAN from Bioinformatics. First of all, I would like to apologize for being not able to participate in the Setapak NURI site visiting in the second week and also the third week Social Engagement meeting mainly due to taking a long study break during Chinese New Year.
A lot seem happened in the third week for our SE project. For example, the redesign of our SE project logo and the beginning of the selling of chocolate and red velvet moist cakes. I would like to express my regret towards unable to help out in selling those moist cakes in the third week, in which each member is required to sell at least 7 moist cakes in order to help raise fund for our Bioinformatics SE project.
After the Setapak NURI site visiting in the second week, we noticed that the authorities of NURI doesn't allow us to have any activities with the children at late night. Thus, after having discussion at the third week SE meeting, we decided to rearrange our 3 days 2 nights schedule at NURI by changing activities and shortening the time of activites as required by NURI. Furthermore, the tentative which assigns each member as the PIC in each session of activities is rearranged as well and the draft of tentative has been finalized again. Besides, owing to limited amount of fund, we also decided not to book any hotel accommodation near Setapak NURI and hence we will be going to NURI in the morning and returning to UM in the evening everyday.
Therefore, my reflection for this week is there were a lot changes keep on happening in our SE project. I think we have to always be ready and prepared to face and cope with the changes and also challenges in our SE project if necessary. Although the process might take lots of time and energy, but we must remember why we come to UM and why we meet each other in the Bioinformatics course. There must be a reason given by God, right? So, whether how tired you are after having your College Project at the same time and whether how down you have experienced when you have to deal with the changes and challenges from SE project, please remember that there will be a great reward that you yourself could not expected after paying so much hard works and sacrification. And when you look back, it's worthy and heartwarming.

3 Third Meeting

Hii everyone, it’s me Farah. This week the 3rd meeting was held as usual at 10:30 am on the 19th of February. I noticed some of our Chinese members are not present today probably because of CNY, well, it feels kinda lonely here πŸ˜… Anyway, we discussed a lot more than the previous meeting. Oh, and luckily everybody were ready with their minute of meeting sheets 😍 That’s an improvement!πŸ‘Œ

Dr Arpah taught us on how to write a good reflective writing-- it’s supposed to be our opinion based on the meeting, what benefit you get from it and show your eagerness or expectation in the future πŸ’ And not the content of the meeting!! πŸ™… ( okay, I did that mistake previously.. if you had read my last post in this blog, did you?πŸ˜•) However,, I tried to edit those bad colour writing of my previous post but it didn’t work 😭 please forgive me if you can’t see it clearly, everyone….πŸ™‡this blog originally was black colour in the background, that’s why I tried making it look more colourful by changing the font colour πŸ˜” But ,, an improvement!! This blog is sooooo colourful now, it cheers me up 😁 Great work, teammates!πŸ’•

We also had to sell Choco cakes and Red Velvet cakes. It is not that easy to sell it, because it is currently low in demand for my colleges’ residence. But we need to accept any challenges coming in our way, so why not we try it. πŸ™ŒAlso,we had all agreed on our t-shirt colour, finally!πŸ˜„ It is soft coloured blue and the design was very nice I can’t wait for it to be printed out.πŸ’ƒ I really hope our preparation for this event will be smooth all the way until the end .. Till the next meeting, byess!

Already week 3

The time past so fast, isn't it? It's me, hui yuan again. Last time I have say that this week we are going to sell cakes. This time, we aim to sell 100 box of chocolate cakes and 30 box red velvet cake. Everyone is going to sell 7 box per person. For me, i am going to sell 5 chocolate cakes and 2 red velvet cakes. Thanks to my teammate, adilah. She has help me to sell about 2 boxes of cake and help me to take the cakes for a while. I would like to thanks to rehana, our president too. Without their help, i would not meet the target of this week sales. This week is really hard to sell the cakes seems that there is someone who sell chocolate cakes with the price of RM3.00 only. This price is more cheaper than us. No wonder my sales ill be much more harder this week. This is what a competitor refer to. However i just hope that i can sell all the cakes because if nobody buy from me, I am going to eat all the cake by myself before the expiry date. Oh, I really do not hope to face this condition. Our price is as follow, is it cheapπŸ˜„?
In this week meeting, Dr Arpah informs me to report about our revenue and expenses. I really thanks to her because before that I thought my job score is just due we money. I do not even realise that I have to show the revenue and expenses during the program. Therefore, i am now preparing the table with both revenue and report to present in front all my teammates. I hope that they will easily understand with the table that we prepare now. Yes, I am saying we. This table is not only my own work, it is from my teammates too. I am gratefully appreciate for their help and cooperation. Without them my report will not as complete as today. That's all for today. Stay tuned to me and my friend's postπŸ˜†. Bye~

Week 3 ( Scary week And Trouble week)... Hehehe

Dalam perjalanan nak ke bus stop, Ruben iaitu saya punya ketua biro protokol, whatsapp saya n dia cakap...."can present today?"...I said "what???".. Then,he said ..."see the group"...Ouh no...Minggu ni I kena present .. Then, time tu I terfikir ,Ruben ni macam2 tahu2 je I pakai baju kurung...hahahaπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚...So memang that day, I la yang bentang...Nasibla ok.. X la rasa nervous sangat time tu waktu nak present kat Dr. Arpah....
After meeting pula, kitorang semua kena ambil kek untuk jual kek..Itulah salah satu cara kami mencari dana untuk jalankan program nanti...
Hari berlalu semakin laju, minngu ni I rasa malas sangat nak menjual, before this I suka ja menjual ni....biasala minah bisnes lah katakan waktu sem satu dulu... Hurrmmm... But, tak tahu la,  why minggu ni rasa malas sangat....banyak saingan pulak tu jual kek... Hehe... Berkat bantuan kawan2 juga.. Thanks for helping me....Satu lagi pasal kek ni,customer pulak bila kek dah habis baru la ada yang nak whatsapp, nak segera pulak tu... Tapi nak buat macam mana, dah tak ada rezeki dia kan... Hehe..
Panjang berjela punya cerita,  lupa pulak nak bagitau asal progress biro kami....Ok.. Lepas je abis meeting hari isnin tu,  biro program ada perjumaan dengan pengarah to discuss about tentative semua tu yang kebanyakannnya kena tukar, aktiviti pun banyak kena tukar...stress jugakla kitorang nak tukar benda ni semua... Hahaha... But akhirnya, we come out with tentative yg terbaik and aktiviti yang best dan sesuai dengan peringkat umur adik2 yang ada di sana...
Ok.. That for this week... So pengajaran untuk minngu ni ialah:

Minggu Ke3

Minggu ini bermulalah semula penjualan kek coklat dan red velvet setelah tamatnya Chineese New Year.

WEEK 3 "La Terza Scelta"

La terza scelta

"The third choice"

Hi! Imran again, never get a chance to proper introduce myself, so yeah, that's my name. Nothing interesting had happen this week, apart from selling cakes, of course! Everyone just can't get enough with CNY celebration, back from hometown, homesicks, yada yada...

Third meeting, kinda lame. Some of my Chinese friends (all actually 😁) weren't even back from holidays just yet. Back to the cake stuffs. It is currently our main source funding for this project. Everyone were forcefully to sell all the cakes. Don't get me wrong. I love cakes. Indeed, I ate most of 'em. Good business huh? Well, you could say that. Till next time, bruh!

with loves,
imran

Nor Mimi Farar Hana.

Minggu ketiga

Assalamualaikum. Salam sejahtera semua.

Bye3.

1 more month to the event

Lao Tzu once said a journey of a thousand miles began with single step.

This week the 3rd meeting went well we finally have our official logo and since CNY holidays were over we decided to start selling cake again cause as most of my friends already told that it's one of the most effective way for us to raise our fund. As for selling cakes I'm not really good at it so it's always a stress and burden for me but as a part of the sponsor crew I try my best to sell it. We also finally decided our t-shirt design and colour. This would help me to find sponsor for the t-shirt.

As for the next meeting Dr Arpah wanted quotation for the items as well the budget. So I was busy looking for sponsor's or for quotations from the companies for banner printing, t-shirt, door gift and also token of appreciation for the VIP's. It was challenging as for banner I didn't know the size and the companies wanted the measurements for t-shirt they wanted the design. That was the first step I took which leaded me to a big step of getting sponsor/discount for our t-shirt. It is not easy to talk to people although you are using whatsapp, actually is harder. But as I said earlier I will do anything to make this event a success I took the first step. Since we started selling cakes this week I was a little scared that I won't be able to sell but thanks to my very best friends and bureau leader for helping me to sell. This week was busy but it pass by so fast without realising that we were getting closer to the final event. Only 26 days left and we haven't find any sponsor companies. I'm scared we are not able to find sponsor in such a short time. I hope everyone cooperates with the sponsor biro to find sponsor.

~FAHMIDA~

3rd Week

Hello ( ^∇^)
This week we started our cake selling to collect donation for our event. We plan on selling the cakes every week yeah (・へ・). I'm not really good at selling stuff, especially face to face (cuz now we can use online base selling, but still need human interaction) But if we can't do this then how our event going to get the money ( money doesn't grow on trees <(ˍ ˍ*)> ) So yeah need to be a bit patience for this to work, I'll try my best to make this work even though I'll have to get out of my comfort zone eh (..)_
Last week some of us got to follow the site visit where they visit the NURI house for a day. They said it was fun getting to know the kids there even better. Too bad I can't follow them but I don't like kids much I hope I can entertain the kids on the day of the event (.=^・ェ・^=) they deserve to have the best on that day πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹
I think that's all I can say, bye bye.

πŸ‹πŸ‹ Ari πŸ‹πŸ‹

Getting closer to our purpose

Refleksi minggu ini adalah saya dapat rasa tekanan dan gementar apabila masa kesuntukan "time is not on our side" tetapi saya amat gembira dan senang hati bila rakan-rakan banyak memberikan bantuan walaupun kesuntukan masa. Macam peribahasa "No man is an island". Ini adalah sebuah prinsip yang saya anggap penting bagi seorang ketua. we can do it guys.✊πŸ’—.

The third week yoo~

Gong Xi Fa Cai!!!!! Woohooo angpau come come!!

I've back to my hometown, Ipoh for CNY. It's been a happy week, but I feel so sorry for my coursemates because...... Cake selling has been started this week. They have to help us on selling cakes for our part... I'm so sorry on this, and also on my absence to meeting. However, I'll do my part as well too. After finishing writing this post, I'll begin my work.

That is - REDESIGN this blog!

Not only that, this week's meeting had discussed about the colour and design of our project's T-shirt. Everyone of us has voted on that. But most of us have chosen Navy Blue as our choice of colour (including me). Looking forward to seeing the outcome of our decision. Woohoo!
By: Wan Yin

Gong Xi Fa Cai ! πŸŽ†

Ola ! Its me again (Jiminie). So in this post just a few updates about our project in the third week meant that its the third meeting that was held on 19/2/2018. Oh by the way, before i forget, can you all see the title ? yeah Gong Xi Fa Cai & Happy Chinese New Year to all my chinese friends ! May this year bring many opportunities to your way, to explore every joy of life, turning all your dreams into reality ! :) Oh and this year is the year of dog is it ? LOL i know that because of the viral video about sajat scolding people in the instagram.

Okay back to the topic about our progress in the third week. So this week we will start selling the moist chocolate and red velvet cake to increase our fund for the project.Actually we had started selling the cakes during sem 1 but in sem 2 we decided to increase the amount of selling of the cakes since we still do not reach our target of the fund. This week we also had decided the design and colour of our official t-shirt of our project. To be honest, the design is just nice and adorable in my eyes hehe thanks to our designer which is Bro Azmil and Sis Azwa.

Okay so my reflection from our third meeting is everyone and each of us all must work harder and smarter because yes its true that all of us are very busy with the assignments, tests, and college projects, but we must do our best in order that all of them will success in the future, InsyaAllah.

Last but not least, if you guys interested to buy the cakes (seriously they all are damn yummy! sekali cuba pasti nak lagi! ) you guys can whatsapp me to order : Wasap.my/601129443605

Preparation Phase: WEEK 2 _ Laying the groundwork …

[11 February 2018 – 17 February 2018]

‘A wise youth makes hay while the sun shines, but what a shame to see a lad who sleeps away his hour of opportunity.’ – Proverbs 10:5

Hallo, all!

Planned and strategized schedules indeed make adequate provisions against uncertainties of the activities planned for this Social Engagement project. Realising the fact that behind any successful event lies months of preparation, we had already set the agenda and started our planning last semester so that everything can be worked out ahead of time. Therefore, we are now on the fast track to implementation as plenty of the prominent work had been carried out. Thank God that preparation was done beforehand although I was not able to commit to attending some of the meetings fully.😊

We had our second weekly meeting on 12 February 2018. Sitting at the meeting table in SD 7, Bioinformatics Building, our rendezvous with Dr Arpah for another 7 academic weeks, I prepared my minds and hearts to go all out in fulfilling my obligations for the preparation of the programme.πŸ˜‡

This meeting, however, was a little catastrophic to all of us since this was the first time we had formal and ‘proper’ meeting with Dr Arpah using the minutes so we didn't know that everyone should have a copy of it. Indirectly, I realised some of the protocol of having suchlike meetings – a great lesson learnt thanks to Dr Arpah. She put in order the agenda and correct some of the important matters brought up, taking into account every strand of opinion and idea from among the members. Almost every bureau had something to be revised. The most crucial one was our marketing proposal which is necessary for the progressiveness of sponsorship.πŸ‘

Moreover, the logo design needed amendments and so all of us were required to brainstorm ideas for its finalization. We will also start promoting this programme on social media, i.e. Facebook, Blog and Instagram.πŸ’¬

▲Figure 1, 2: Second formal weekly meeting with Dr Arpah

In brief from my bureau, there were criteria set by the seller for the purchase and designing of our programme T-shirt. Also, cake sales will be resumed next week until week 6 in the light of our tight budget so that we could have a side earning while waiting for sponsorship requests. What’s more, this method is useful and strategic being in a university environment where students can afford the price.πŸ˜‚

As mentioned in our week 1 meeting, a site visit to Pusat Jagaan NURI in Setapak will be conducted this week. This was part of the site evaluation process to examine its suitability and the availability of locations for the planned activities to be carried out. This ensures that the programme on the days of event can be run smoothly and that we too would be prepared for the unexpected. Thursday evening was set for the site visit after careful considerations in the meeting. Several preparations were also made prior to it. Each bureau was required to send out representatives and to come out with a checklist. Regrettably, I was unable to join for the site visit as I had classes to attend. 😐

Hearing to what they have shared from the site visit, especially the account and remarks given by the devoted warden, Puan Nora aka Mama Nora, about the children there, gave me a big thrill to visit the children. I would like to spend time with the children as well as to bring them happiness and instil the important values in life into them after knowing their hardships. Surely, we want this programme to be one of their sweet memories. πŸ’–πŸ’–

I really thank God for placing me in this team with such cooperative teammates and a prudent coordinator. Swamped with the escalating commitments and tasks of the other courses which will certainly be increasing after the short Chinese-New-Year break, I learned how to manage my time wisely. I hope that we get sufficient sponsorships in the subsequent weeks. I also hoped that my acquaintance with the teammates who are also my course mates would develop further.😍

That’s all from me for this week. Thanks very much!

Third meeting during sem 2

Happy Chinese New Year all my friendsss!! Wishing u guys all the best in this year ^^ It is me Sin Hui again ~

So fast!!! it is third week already. I feel like our event date is getting nearer and nearer!! I feel like looking forward our event but still got a bit worried and nervous about progress of preparation as it is my first time to do such event. Firstly, i would like to apologise to all my teammates and our course instructor, Dr.Arpah as i was unable to attend the meeting held on Monday. It is because some personal reason that i was still staying at my hometown to celebrate Chinese New Year. Feeling guilty that i was not going for meeting. Anyway, i will still follow up the progression of our event with the latest update such as the new tentative by our bureau leader Ruben.

Heard that start from this week until the last meeting, everyone of us must take turn to present our progress in front. Each meeting one representative to present the biro progress. i think it is a good decision as everyone of us can have more understanding about our event.  Anyway, thanks Azwa to present in front on this week.

Like finally, we have finalised the logo of our project!! Thanks Azwa again who has been volunteer to design our logo yeahhh. So lovely...Through whatapps, we have also agreed with the selection of our t-shirt colour that is my favourite colour light blue. Suddenly getting more and more looking forward the coming of our event.

I have been informed about that for our education module, the two activities ( lava lamp and invisible ink ) have been rejected and will be replaced by other activities as well. Maybe food items is needed in these two activities and it is a waste too. So that is the reason why the activities be banned. But i sincerely love this two activities so much as it is quite amazing and interesting!!

This week has a new task that is to do budget roughly for our activities. I think with the cooperation of my teammates, we all can do it well.

Hope everythings go well!!

# The Third Meeting #

First and foremost, I would like to apologize to everyone I unable to attend this meeting because I was still staying at my hometown to celebrate Chinese New Year. Again, sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Time flies. Third meeting was coming. This make me felt excited and worried simultaneously because we have around one month left for preparation. We need to settle all things within one month. And maybe it is not a simple job for a person. But fortunately, I have all 25 cute teammates so I can cooperate with them. I believe that we can work together make our project goes smoothly and successfully.

We have our project’s logo already! Thanks, Azwa! Because of you, we had a cute and awesome logo. I am so proud of you. I heard that we had selection of our T-shirt colour and I chose light blue as base of our T-shirt because I think light blue is a warm colour and looks fresh. It matched with our project’s purpose as we would like to help the kids and also bring warm and joy to them in order to make them happier. However, it cannot be denied that one of the reasons I chose light blue colour for our T-shirt is because I like this colour compared to others. (^ _ ^) Haha.

Anyway, the undeniable fact is that we do not have much time and capital. Finding sponsors and funds is the most important thing we need to do. However, I believe that we can solve any problems we faced at least we have a passion to do so.

We can do it! Fighting guys!

# The second meeting #

Good evening everyone. Second meeting was held in a different venue, SD 7. It makes me to keep the excitement because I never been there before. This room looks like a meeting room hence we are getting more formal to present the latest progress for each bureau.

Now, the big problem we faced is we do not have enough capital. We must solve this problem to measure our project goes smoothly. More funds are needed for our accommodation, food, transportation. It is not a small amount. Consequently, we decided to increase the amount of cake selling, which is more than 6 cakes for each person. This means that I need to pay more attention and more hard work to promote our chocolate moist cake. I feel it is a tough task but I will try my best to sell all cakes given. Besides that, our marketing proposal was in progress. Even though Dr Arpah give some advises and comments to the proposal but I believe that with a ‘perfect’ proposal will be finalized in order to attract more and more company to support and sponsor our project.

We voted to choose whether facebook or Instagram to be our social media for this project. Definitely, I voted for Instagram because I thought it is easier for all 25 teammates to access and upload photo or information to public. I felt very happy because most of us selected Instagram as our social media. I will invite my relatives and friends to follow our Insta account to make it well known and always pay my close attention to our Instagram account to measure it update from time to time.

Last but not least, I felt guilty because I unable to attend our site visit to NURI on 15th Feb 2018 because I have to go back to my hometown to celebrate Chinese New Year. However, those friends who went to site visit had taken a lot of photos so I can refer these photos to know about the surroundings of NURI. Thanks my friends!

Second meeting during sem 2...

Hihi^^ it is me Sin Hui!!So fast, we have our second meeting during week 2. It has a bit different because the venue of our meeting have changed to SD7 and our following meeting will stay here too! This is my first time come into this room. It makes me feel so excited and full of energy to start our meeting.

Before that, our bureau programme and protocol has wrote down a list of materials needed for our education module and sports module and 'gotong-royong' module. To avoid inconvenience, we decided to buy materials on our own. I totally agree with it. After listening to the presentation by our director, Rehana, Dr. Arpah discusses the proposal with us and gives us some useful suggestion. This make me feel that there are still some important things that we neglect. Maybe we are still lack of experience to held such event. Luckily, still got Dr.Arpah remind us. Heard that my teammates will go for site visit at NURI on Thursday but i go home to celebrate Chinese New Year already. Fortunately, they got capture some picture of that place and upload for us to see. So happy to see got many children there. Thanks my beloved teammates!

As we know our event need a lot of fund to complete it, that is why each of us have to sell 6 cakes to get the profit (each cake RM1). I think i will try my best because that is our event that we gonna fight together. Some of us suggest that we can find a date to collect fund from public, i think it is a considerable suggestion too but it needs sacrifice some times.

Good things take times. I believe that we can still catch the remainder times to make our event successfully.

Our first meeting during sem 2...

Hey everybody, I ' m Sin Hui from bureau programme and protocol. Feeling excited because i never write blog before this and this is my first time to contribute to our UM Bioinformatics Social engagement 17/18. Time flies, it is starting of my sem 2 already. Before that, I have enjoy my short sembreak by having a short Ipoh trip. It was really a pleasure trip. After having fun, it is time to get ready for our event. All of us have agreed that our first meeting to be held on every Monday. Through this meeting, i have roughly know about what we should do along our event such as we should write a log book for our before, during and after the event.  To be honest, this is not the first time of our meeting. So, i feel so lucky and appreciate that we have set up committee and start planning since last semester. It has made the progress of our project run smoothly. We have decided the venue and time since last semester so we can focus on our preparation now.

At the beginning, i feel that the task of this bureau is quite heavy because it needs a lot energy and time to arrange the programmes and schedule of  3 days 2 nights. It needs a lot of effort to plan the activities of this project too! i have a bit worried about that. But fortunately, i have a group of teammates that help me a lot and also the well-guided by our course instructor, Dr. Arpah. It is really makes me feel relieved a lot. Thanks Dr. Arpah and my teammates!!

We will continue try our best! Fighting guys!!

The 3rd week....

Hello im Siqing...

Woohoo it’s third week already. How time flies! I would like to apologize to everyone because I was not able to attend the meeting on this Monday due to the reason that I was still staying at my hometown to celebrate CNY. Anyways thanks RUBEN for updating us the changes and new tentative that have been made in the meeting!

I heard that some of the activities that involved food and drinks are rejected. Hmm but no worries they have already schemed some new activities to replace the banned activities. Ruben has also uploaded the new tentative to the whatsapp group and I realized that some changes have been made where we have to end our program by 9pm. Actually this may not be a bad news for us because we might be able to get back to our hostel if we can end the activities earlier and this, in turn, is one of the way to cut the spending on accommodation isn’t it? And yeah we have the new logo for our project! Our first logo ever hehe... It's so cute and awesome, thanks Azwa!

Time flies, I am quite worried as we have only one month left for preparation. I think we have to hurry up and find enough funds in order to cover all the expenses for this project. I believe we can do it!
