Everyone knew what was going to happen this week.Yes our programme will finally be held from 23rd March to 25th March. So the programme was on Friday. And the whole week we were busy preparing for our D-Day.We wrapped our hampers a day before at Fifth Residential College. Also got the plaque that we were supposed to give to Owner of rumah NURI which is Mama Nora and also Adilah went all the way to bangi and kota damansara to get the t-shirt and mini pizza that we got sponsor at the very last minute.Also on Thursday night I went back home to get some stuff for the gotong royong. Upon reaching home I realised that my checklist is missing...OMG, why last minute bad things are happening. But thank God I remembered what I was suppose to get from home. At Thursday night after returning back from home Rehana and Adilah came to my room as we all planned to stay at 5th RC.

23/3/2018- The most awaited day after hard work of planning for this event and also collecting money finally the day have arrived.We all gathered at Bioinformatics building at the first day around 7 and took the ISB van from there and went to NURI at setapak. In the van we all had a fun time laughing and also planning some things.We all were both excited and nervous to go there.Upon arriving there we took out everything from the van and kept it under the mini pondok at the main entrance.My first reaction when I reached there was SERIOUSLY so little kids because we got list of 67 kids and there were only around 25 kids. That was because school holidays were ongoing and some kids have activities outside so the weren't able to attend.But thanks to Dr Arpah she already advised us earlier to make a back up plan if we encounter this situation. I was a permanent facilitator for group 2 along with Azmil. So we began to search for the kids who are supposed to be in our group.After that, while waiting for breakfast to arrive we did a little ice breaking session with the kids. First all the 25 Bioinfo students introduced themselves then the kids.During this time the kids were still kind of shy.The food arrived a little bit late then expected so in between the permanent faci were supposed to break the with their kids.But I didn't seem to get along very well with them at that time. I didn't know what to talk to them about. It felt a little bit awkward. But thank god I got along with them.After having an energetic breakfast we were supposed to have gotong royong activity. Some plans were changed because the balcony that we thought of cleaning was close. So my group along with 2 other groups cleaned inside the kitchen.It wasn't very spacious but I was very messy and many things needed to be cleaned.So we began our work. Washing all the tuppeware and wiping the cabinet there.Also there is a toilet and washroom there. Which Amir willing clean it.
The kids wanted to help us out but there wasn't enough space so they helped out the groups that were cleaning outside.Our gotong royong finished earlier than expected.Then the kids practiced their dikir barat for their competition on Sunday. They were so cute. Seeing them perform made all made tiredness went away. After the boys came from Friday prayer originals we were supposed to continue with gotong royong but it finished earlier than expected so we decided to do some impromptu games. The kids enjoyed the games hopefully. It's was still the first day so we all couldn't control the kids properly also Dr Arpah told us to be creative to catch their attention. So in the evening we had to practice for their closing performance. It was really messed up I would say. We kept on changing plan so many times until finally Dr Arpah helped us out to sort the issue. So we had new group , new faci for each group. And so for my group first we decided to sing Gemuruh and do some cheers so we practice for the cheers.Without realising it was already Maghrib. After Maghrib prayers we had fulfilling dinner and did reflection for the first day and pack our things to go back to UM. As soon as we reached 5th RC we did post mortem from which we got to know our weakness and strength and what should we improve. It was a long and tiring day for all of us but we all learnt something. We learnt from our mistakes.

As for day one, what I learnt is we should be ready to face any challenge that come in our way. We should also work together to face all the obstacles that come in our way. And also making mistake are fine because it's a process of learning if we don't make mistakes we will never learn.
