Place of our program (NURI)
Early of the day, about 7 o'clock, me and my friends started our journey to NURI at Setapak, KL. This journey was about 30 minutes or less. After we reached there, me and my friends started to prepare for our program while one of my friend, Amir went to see the head of the house to inform her for our arriving. First of all, all the facilitators have to gather all their team member. This is not a easy task since there was not much kids on that time and we had to ask and know for their names. However, with the help of the kids, we finally have part of our group member. Although each group was only have three to five kids with 2 permanent facilitators and about 4 helper, we were manage to ice-breaking in between the five groups. Actually, besides playing games we did not well interacted with them and let them move around as usual.
On that day, the balcony of the NURI house has close. Therefore, each group's task in the section of gotong-royong have change but I did not receive any information before. Luckily, everyone still can follow the instructions from the person in charge. This made our program went smoothly the whole day. However, due to this change, we managed to done all the gotong royong before lunch. We have nothing to do after lunch since the timetable before is planing for cleaning the balcony. Thus, Nazrul, my friend had a nice idea in playing games with them. In the "rainbow", I do not really know about the names, we can quickly knew about each other names and this can showed how fast was your reflection. I just like this game although I lost this games at the beginning few rounds. While another game that we played was the island and sharks. This game was like the get the chairs. We play the music and the kids should swim around the island that we made. When the music stop, they must get on an island without tear it. The kids that still stay out of the island will be catch by the sharks and lose the game. Is this two games interesting😄, you may also play it with your friends and cousins too. All you need is just a newspaper and a sellotape that can also replace with anything you want. It is just as simple as an ABC, right?

At night, before we went back, we had a reflection part to get the review or any comment from the kids. I am the person in charge for this part. However, I think that I still can improve for the variety of questions that I asked. Finally, I think the most interesting part for our first day is just these. For the whole day, besides playing games, most of the time we feel boring and just spending time by sitting there. For these weakness, we have mention in our post motem for any suggestion to improve the program in second day. Hope that our second day of program will be more interesting for the kids and better than today😁Bye~ See you all again for our Day Two Program.
