Second week

Hi again. I am Hui Yuan. Today i would like to talk about how we get our modal for this programme.

As a starting modal for this programme, we have to pay RM20 each person. This modal is used to pay for the chocolate cakes which cost RM2.50 each. Then we sell the cake out with a profit of RM1. This is how we earn for our programme. However, this is not an easy task. We only have a small target market which is all the UM student. But we help one another and finally we sell all the cakes and earn a profit of RM100. As a treasurer for this activity, i really feel happy to earn our first bucket of money. This RM100 is not enough for the transportation, accommodation, food and other stuffs, therefore we plan for another sales of cake and this time we introduce red velvet cake, which cost RM3.50 each and we can earn for RM1 for profit too. For next week, we are going to sell 100 chocolate cake and 30 red velvet cake. As result of the sales, we expect to earn RM130 for profit. I just hope everything goes well. Besides the cakes, we also selling keropok and mineral water but due to the presence of monkey, we have more lost then profit 😔. Therefore, we will just focus on the cake sales. I just hope that we will have the sponsor soon so that our programme with the children will be more interesting: games and delicious food😆.

And this week, when I went back for celebrating Chinese New Year, 10 of my teammates are having a site visit to the NURI, our target location for this programme. We have plan this visit since last week by arranging the transport sponsor by our ISB department and get the permission from the Pn Norah. The objectives of this visit is to measure the time and distance of the NURI from university, to observe whether that NURI have all the apparatus and materials for our activities and also to observe whether that the place is suitable for our activities. After I heard from their experience and the photo they snapped, I really feel that is my lost that I does not take this opportunity for a visit to there. However, celebrating Chinese New Year with my family is the most important part. I can wait until 24 of March to meet with the children😄. Here are some photo from the site visit:
