[18 March 2018 – 22 March 2018]
‘Do not withhold good from those to whom it
is due, when it is in your power to do it.’ –
Proverbs 3:27
Moving on to week 7 of the semester means
that our preparation phase is just a heartbeat away from the implementation
phase. Our social engagement programme will, then, be officially started THIS
FRIDAY, SATURDAY and SUNDAY! I made sure that I am prepared for the days of
event mentally and physically.😊
We had our usual formal meeting on Monday,
which is going to be our last formal meeting in this preparation phase. Each
bureau wrapped up all the tasks which we had accomplished for weeks. Due to the
generous donations and contributions from various people, we are almost
touching our target and budget. As our programme T-shirts have done, I’m really
excited for its distribution on the first day of event. It signifies that we
are now embarking upon our mission!😉
Next, we had our second facilitator
training and closing-ceremony rehearsal around 12 p.m. on 20 April 2018
(Tuesday) in SD 6. I was amazed seeing Erni and Arinah practised emceeing for
the closing ceremony. This is accompanied by briefing on item checklists and everyone’s
duties in implementation phase. Then we had our third and last closing-ceremony
rehearsal monitored and overseen by Dr Arpah at 7:45 p.m. on 21 April 2018
(Wednesday) in the same room. She ensured that every flow is clear and be
prepared for backup plans. I really thank God for having such a prudent
coordinator.👏
All of us made our last preparation
attempts the whole week. For example, some of them were in charge of wrapping
up the hampers at UM Fifth Residential College (KK 5) while the others got
ready with the equipment needed on the days of event such as acknowledgement
plaque, T-shirts and cleaning tools for gotong-royong.💜
I am eagerly waiting for the days of event
but at the same time am a bit nervous. Whatever it is, may God help us in
brining something useful, constructive and valuable to the children in Pusat
Jagaan NURI.💞
