Fifth Week: Hectic Week

Greetings to all! I’m Nyam Chiaw Qing. Time flies. This is the fifth week, fifth meeting for our programme. This is also a hectic week. I have to prepare a lot for our programme as the programme is just around the corner.

Last week, the task given is designing a banner for our Social Engagement programme. Each of our members had presented for our banner on this week. Luckily, most of my teammates chose my banner design. However, I still have to do some improvement as the font and design is not suitable to our programme, especially for the font, a formal font should be chosen. I have a headache about this because it is quite difficult for me to find a suitable font. But I will try my best to make a beautiful banner for our programme. On the other hand, there has a good new and a bad new for our banner. First of all, I heard that we have secured one sponsor for banner. Actually, this is a good new for everyone because our budget would reduce if we would not pay for banner. However, this means that I have to redo and rearrange my banner because the canvas size of banner was changed to 3x6 feet. But I still have a lot of energy to do it because we do not have to pay anymore for our banner!  We can save the money and use it in another thing.

Next meeting, I have to give the sponsorship at least RM 60 because I do not have sell the moist chocolate cake.  Hence, I have decided to go back to my hometown to collect the fund from my relatives and friends. And also, I will give them a further explanation about our programme in order to encourage them to support our programme. I would collect the fund as possible as I can. I hope all of them are willing to support our programme and I can collect a fund more than RM 60 from them.

We have two more weeks to visit the children. I am looking forward to meeting the children. I am eager to see a smile of joy lit up their face. It is worth for me to do anything!
