Warm Welcome

Hello everyone,

I am Fahmida from the sponsor bureau. Along with the other 24 bioinformatics students I welcome everyone to this blog. I knew being in the sponsor bureau would definitely be a big challenge for me as I have never done something  like this before. But I would like to go beyond the borders and do the best I can to make this project a success. This course officially started in the second semester but we started our progress a little bit early which has been since the ending of the first semester. Starting off early did really help to ease our burden during the second semester but it was still a bit stressful because we were going to face our finals. We sold cakes for 2 weeks during the last semester which also cause a lot of stress to me and my bureau because the money wasn't enough but we managed to sort out all the problems. After the first official meeting with Dr. Arpah, I finally got a clearer picture about this course and understood why this course is important to us. Dr. Arpah briefed us about the course and asked us to make some changes for the marketing proposal as well as provided us with log books. Dr. Arpah asked us to do site visit to the place where our event would be held. On Friday, we had meeting at ISB level from Dr. Shamsul he briefed us in details about this course and also gave us important dates eg. when the proposal must be submitted. The meeting went smoothly and we were looking ahead for our second meeting on next week Monday.

As for the reflection, I feel that having this course is quite tiring and troublesome. But I believe it will be beneficial for me and my course mates as well the kids at the shelter home. That thought keeps me going to make this event successful.
